Dipton Memorial Hall was abuzz with the Hilarious Hypnotist and Auction Fundraising Night held by the Dipton Home & School. Dave Upfold the hilarious hypnotist entertained the crowd along with those who volunteered to take the stage and produce two hours full of fun and laughter!
Profit generated from the evening was an amazing $26,000, which will be of benefit to all the children at Dipton School.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all those individuals, families and businesses who so kindly offered their time, donated goods and/or services towards our fundraising night. It was your contribution which certainly made this evening such a huge success!

Combined Lions and Lioness Clubs of Waihi and Waihi Beach
The fund-raising dinner/auction hosted by the combined Lions and Lioness Clubs of Waihi and Waihi Beach held at Waihi Beach last night was a great success. One hundred and eighty five people dined and enjoyed the entertainment provided by Dave Upfold, the hypnotist, and they also opened their wallets when the auction items were put up for bids. At this stage is appears that a cheque in excess of $10,000 will be paid into the Cancer Society’s Lions Lodge account on behalf of the three clubs. Support from the local community in donating items for the auction was a major factor in the success of the event.

It has been four weeks to the day since I had my appointment with you, to stop smoking. I hadn’t prepared before hand, gut dragging on my last one just prior to walking in to your home – I must have reeked! sorry about that!
Well, I haven’t had one since! not even a craving. I have been water walking so have lost weight in the process, I eat better, everything tastes great and my two teenagers are so happy that the house is smoke free.
I was a smoker for 24 years prior to visiting you. I can not thank you enough! You have helped me change my whole life around – for the better.
